Re:Artiste Naked Photography Show Finalist
I’m incredibly excited to share that recently, I was chosen as a finalist in the Re:Artiste Naked Photography Show!
In July, Re:Artiste held an international photography competition, titled “Naked,” inviting photographers to express the nude human body. And I entered! Which I do so rarely, but this summer I’ve been working on my own nude yoga self portraits – just for myself – and this was the perfect opportunity to get them out into the world.
And since I’ve been chosen as a finalist, that’s just where these beautiful images are going – out into the world. More precisely, into a gallery show at Soho Photo Gallery in NYC.
“Art can never exist without naked beauty displayed.”– William Blake, on etching of the LaocoönHuman nudity can mean many things: from being extremely vulnerable to extremely bold.
The nudity can be perceived as weakness or power. What can the nude human body tell us? Express the power of the body language.
If you’re in New York City and able to attend, you can join the facebook event here.
The opening reception is on August 18, 6:30 PM and the exhibition will be on display through August 24th at the Soho Photo Gallery 15 White Street, New York, New York, 10013.
